University of Leicester Deploys Free WiFi to Serve Entire Campus

The University of Leicester has today rolled out free WiFi across its campus to be used by all guests, visiting lecturers and prospective students and their families. The WiFi, provided by The Cloud, will cover 69 locations including main campus and buildings across the city via more than 500 access points. The service will enable guests to go online quickly and easily – allowing access to the University of Leicester app, plus online tools including educational resources and social media.

Ed’s Easy Diner will bring its retro-American style flying into the modern world by offering its customers access to fast, free WiFi at restaurants across the country. Signing a deal with The Cloud, BSkyB’s public WiFi provider, the diner chain will allow its customers to access the Ed’s Easy Diner mobile site, sign-up as members to Ed’s Club and make use of the special offers membership provides.

The Cloud has announced a partnership to give Virgin Media’s mobile customers access to fast, free WiFi across more than 22,000 UK hotspots. Available to all Virgin Mobile customers, Virgin Media’s WiFi Buddy app will seamlessly connect to The Cloud’s WiFi whenever the device is in range.
