WiFi in the clouds at London’s Sky Garden

The Cloud has today announced it has rolled out free WiFi to all visitors at 20 Fenchurch Street’s Sky Garden. Better known as London’s ‘Walkie-Talkie’, 20 Fenchurch Street features a Sky Garden at the top of the building, which provides 360-degree uninterrupted views of London, public viewing terraces, a café/bar and two restaurants.

Fans spend 600,000 minutes online at Brighton vs Arsenal FA Cup match

Following Sunday’s nail bitting FA Cup match between Brighton and Hove Albion and Arsenal the home team has reported record usage figures for the stadium’s free WiFi service, at The Amex Stadium. WiFi provider The Cloud saw over 13,000 devices connect to the network consuming a staggering 600,000 minutes of online time.

Welsh Health Board Prescribes Free WiFi For Patients, Visitors and Staff

Hywel Dda University Health Board has become the latest Welsh healthcare provider to announce the roll out of a free WiFi service to patients, staff and visitors. The WiFi, powered by The Cloud, offers a reliable internet connection that allows people to access social media and stream media such as video on their own devices. This is aimed at ultimately improving the patient and visitor experience within some key University Health Board’s locations.

Home and away: WiFi at select Diamond Resorts International® Destinations

Diamond Resorts International® entered into a contract with The Cloud which will see part of the group roll out a WiFi connection for members, owners and guests at select European resorts. Already available at Broome Park Golf and Country Club in Kent, England, Diamond Resorts plans to introduce the service across six more of its UK resorts by the end of 2014.

Delving into usage data from across The Cloud’s network of more than 22,000 public hotspots, the report reveals a huge increase in the amount of time we spend browsing. The Cloud users have spent 78% more time logged on to public WiFi than in 2013, with over 28 billion minutes being spent online.
