Free MySpace access from any Cloud hotspot
5th August 2008
Got a Wi-Fi device? Then you can now hop onto MySpace for free using any wireless hotspot run by The Cloud!
The deal, announced today, opens up hotspots in more than 7,000 UK locations, letting MySpace users chat with friends, or find new bands wherever they are.
The Cloud’s hotspot network includes many McDonalds stores and Anthony Lukom, MySpace’s managing director, reckons it’ll boost traffic to the social networking site.
“MySpace users want to easily communicate with their friends and discover exciting, relevant content wherever they happen to be. The Cloud now offers them this opportunity in thousands of great locations, whether it’s their local McDonalds, a travel centre or even sports stadiums.”
Steve Nicholson, CEO of The Cloud, added: “MySpace is renowned as one of the world’s leading social networking platforms, which makes it an ideal partner for us.”
The free access won’t last for ever though. It’ll only stay in effect until October, with a link straight through to MySpace from The Cloud’s login page.
