What is Ultra Mobile?

Ultra Mobile is a monthly subscription package that gives you a low cost flat rate subscription for unlimited access to the internet from Cloud Hotspots in the UK from your Wi-Fi enabled Nokia Device.
The service allows you to use any internet application compatible with your device at the high speeds enabled by Wi-Fi. In addition to being able to browse the internet and download audio, video and email at high speed, the service will enable access to applications, such as video streaming, which require the high performance access that one would generally only consider achieving on broadband DSL at home.

Limited 30 Day Free Trial

Anyone with a Nokia Internet Tablet can register to try the service. The first 30 days are free, after that we will charge you £9.99 a month. If you do not wish to be billed you can unsubscribe using the shopper mgmt service or contacting The Cloud.

How does the trial work?

Once you have signed up to the Ultra Mobile trial you will be given 30 days free usage. Note when you sign up for the trial you will be asked to enter your credit/debit card details in addition to your chosen user id and password as well as your personal details. You can cancel your trial subscription at any point within the 30 day period and no charge will be made, see details below.

Ultra Mobile Subscription

We hope that you will delighted with your experience of high speed internet access from Cloud hotspots on your Nokia device so that you wish to continue with an Ultra Mobile subscription after your 30 day trial. Ultra Mobile is a flat fee, subscription based service costing £9.99 per month inclusive of VAT. If you wish to continue your subscription to Ultra Mobile after the period of the free trial you need to take no action. After 30 days your trial account becomes a full subscription account and your credit/debit card will start being charged on a monthly basis.

Using Ultra Mobile

To use your Nokia Internet Tablet on The Cloud Network follow these simple steps;

Purchase

In order for you to use your Nokia Intenret Tablet in a Cloud location you can either select a Pay as you go access package or a monthly subscription. The PayGo ioption requires you to enter a Username and Password everytime you wish to access teh internet. The Ultra Mobile Subscription automatically connects your device whenever you are within a Cloud Hotspot.

Registering the Internet Tablet MAC Address (Ultra Mobile only)

In order for your device to work on The Cloud Network you have to register the phone's MAC address. The MAC address can be found;
1. Go to the File Menu in the left hand navigation;
2.a. Select "Tools"
2.b. Select "Control Panel"
2.c. Select "Device"
2.d. Select "About Product"
3. Read off the WLAN MAC address
The MAC address format is 12 characters separated either by colons or dashes (eg, 00:00:00:00:00:00 or 00-00-00-00-00-00). MAC addresses can be made up of a combination of numbers 0-9 and letters A-F. Please note do not use the Bluetooth MAC address.

Once you have registered your phone you can use the service on our network without having to log on.

Finding a The Cloud WiFi network

Go to a The Cloud site. To find the site nearest you, use our hotspot locator. At the hotspot you can search for The Cloud network that is within range of your device. The results list displays the network name and the strength of the radio signal. When possible, you should try to connect to networks with a strong signal. To search for networks, follow these steps:
1. Select the "Earth Symbol" from the top control menu.
2. The device will now search for available connections.
3. Select WiFi Zone - The Cloud from the available networks. 4. You will now be associated with the access point.
5. If you are an Ultra Mobile subscriber you will automatically be authenticated on the network. If you open a Browser The Cloud Session Manager will appear.
If you require PayGo access you can open a browser window and purchase access using your credit card.

Creating a newtork profile

You can set up a network profile for in one of two ways;
1. In the hotspot;
a. Once you have connected to the WiFi Zone - The Cloud SSID it will automatically be added to your list of preferred networks.
2. Manually;
a. Go to the File Menu in the left hand navigation; b. Select "Tools"
c. Select "Control Panel"
d. Select "Connectivity"
e. Select "Connections"
f. Select "New"
g. Select "Next"
h. Type in a Connection Name and Select WLAN i. Select Next, if asked to scan for available networks Select No.
j. Type in the Network name (SSID)(exactly as it appears after the semi colon); WiFi Zone - The Cloud
k. Click "Next"
l. Click "Finish"
The connection will now remember you when you are at a The Cloud Hotspot.
