Nokia and The Cloud to offer free WiFi access with Nokia N800 Internet Tablet
8th January 2007
The partnership is launched with the new Nokia N800 Internet Tablet, announced earlier today at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Anyone purchasing the device in the UK will be given free access for one month, enabling them to go online, check email and access a wealth of new media content on the go. The offer will be available exclusively to users of the Nokia N800 and Nokia 770 Internet Tablets before being rolled out to other Nokia devices.
The Nokia N800 has been purpose-built to deliver the best possible, always-with-you internet experience, combining quick and easy access to the Internet with a high resolution, widescreen display. With the Nokia N800 you can enjoy all your favourite Internet services and applications anytime, anywhere, including Web browsing, instant messaging, email, Internet calling, podcasting, blogging and much more.
The Nokia N800 will be available at independent retailers including John Lewis, DSGi and Comet, as well as online channels, including Expansys.com, Play.com, and Dabs.com. The jointly branded sales package will include a coupon inside that enables consumers to take advantage of the service.
Ari Virtanen, vice president, convergence products, Nokia said “This partnership brings together a device developed specifically to offer one of the best possible mobile Internet experiences with a key player in the growing development of public WiFi hotspots.
