The members of our management team are all established figures in the telecommunications, media and technology sector. Together they are responsible for delivering The Cloud's ground-breaking wireless mobility services.

Steve Nicholson - Chief Executive Officer

For over 20 years Steve has successfully directed and led public and private sector businesses across a range of blue chips and venture backed enterprises in fixed and mobile telecommunications, media and the Internet across Europe and Asia.

Steve joined in January 2007 from an international media company, SPG Media PLC, where he was Executive Chairman and latterly Chief Executive. He orchestrated the successful turnaround of the business.

Prior to SPG Media Steve held senior positions at KPN, Hutchison, Philips, Case Communications, Duracell and Mars.

Jonathan Apps - Chief Financial Officer

Jonathan qualified as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand in 1989 and has spent the majority of his working life in the TMT sectors in the UK, Europe and the Far East, latterly as CFO of various AIM and LSE listed companies.  He has extensive experience of building and running finance functions on a UK, European and Global scale, together with a considerable history of IPO and M&A activity as well as investor relations. Jonathan has been Group CFO at the Cloud since 2007.

Achim Möhrlein - Managing Director Germany

Achim has been the CEO of The Cloud Networks Germany GmbH since the beginning of 2008. He has spent the majority of his professional life within corporate management of various companies within the IT sector. He was a founding member and chairman of the GlobalAirNet AG (GANAG) until its merger with The Cloud Networks Germany GmbH. Under his direction GANAG became Germany’s premium provider of public business Wi-Fi and the market leader in the premium hotel sector.

Roald Sanden - Managing Director Nordics

Roald has over 20 years experience within the mobile industry, having held positions at both Ericsson and Telia. He has extensive experience in fast growing start-up companies, having spent the past 10 years in senior management roles, latterly as COO for ComOpt. Roald joined the Cloud in 2005 and is responsible for the Nordics markets of Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland.

Naunton Dickens - Managing Director UK

Naunton has managed a variety of Internet related companies over the past fifteen years. Originally involved with a number of dot com start-ups in the mid 90’s; he went on help found the first independent pan-Caribbean IP network in the West Indies. An innovative, entrepreneurial and strategic thinker with extensive international management experience; he joins The Cloud having most recently been employed as the Managing Director of Swisscom Hospitality Networks UK.

Paul Gooch - Chief Operating Officer

Paul joined The Cloud Networks at the end of 2006 as part of the Business Development team. Since then he has held several senior positions within the company, including Director of Operations and Head of Development. Paul has previously worked internationally for companies including SONY and Reuters across a variety of technologies encompassing Mobile Data, Electronic Music Distribution, ISP services and Voice Systems.

Mary DeArth - Group HR Director

Before joining The Cloud in 2006, Mary had spent the last 12 years in HR consultancy, working specifically within the technology sector.  Focusing on change management and turnaround in commercial environments, she has worked with a number of VC’s on providing HR support to their portfolio investments.  A member of the chartered institute of personnel and development, Mary’s formative years were spent in the hospitality and telecommunications industries, before specialising in the Internet sector, with expertise in start up and emerging businesses.
